Ticket Cancellation Charge Increased by Indian Railways

As per the announcement of rail budget 2013-14, Indian railways | IRCTC increased ticket cancellation charges which will force rail passengers to plan their journey well in advance so as to avoid costlier cancellation charges for canceling the tickets. Increased cancellation charges on rail tickets shall be applicable for the journeys made on or after Apr 01, 2013.

Revised Cancellation Charges applicable from 01-04-2013

Here are the details of the increase in the cancellation charges. Cancellation charge for second sitting shall be Rs 30, for sleeper class Rs 60. For AC Chair Car & AC 3-Tier the cancellation of tickets will cost Rs 90. Rs 100 will be deducted if First Class & AC 2-Tier tickets are cancelled. And cancellation charge for Executive & AC First Class will be Rs 120. See the table below for clearer view.
