- Due to mobile network problem, at times, IRCTC SMS is not delivered to the users mobile after the ticket booking process is completed.

IRCTC online user, who wants to get IRCTC SMS again for any e-ticket booked, have to follow these easy steps:

- Log in to your IRCTC online account.
- Click on plus (+) of “My Transaction” link from the left tab. For this, you will be prompted to enter your IRCTC password once again.
- Now, click on “Booked History” link.
- You will see that the recently booked tickets details are displayed in the right tab.
- Now, select your particular ticket for which you want to get “IRCTC confirmation SMS again”.
- Finally click on “Get SMS” button (situated in the most right).
- You are done now; you will soon get the IRCTC confirmation SMS again to your mobile number.
This way an IRCTC user can easily gets IRCTC ticket confirmation SMS once more.
By now you have known how to get ticket re-SMS from IRCTC. Hence, you don’t have to worry if the ticket confirmation SMS is undelivered at the time of e-ticket booking or somehow IRCTC SMS is mistakenly deleted from your cell-phone. If I booked the ticket using my user ID for other person.Can I forward the MSG to a rail traveler ?
Nice to know...But what if I booked the ticket for somebody in my family by giving my mobile number and they need SMS on their mobile?
I am in the same situation, any other option to resend the SMS to other mobile when i book ticket for my family members and I haven't changed their mobile number during booking.
I got the SMS but want that sms to be resend to their mobile from IRCTC...

By the way, when I tried to get the SMS then I got a message 'Get SMS facility is available only 3 days before the date of boarding for this ticket'
Hence it means this facility is available only 3 days prior to date of journey.

But you need to point out that this facility is available only 3 days in advance of data of journey. So no end moment help from this facility

the above condition to receive irctc ticket confirmation sms again has been implemented recently by IRCTC. Earlier there was no such rule.
even today this facility is of no use because if your ticket gets confirmed then GET SMS option will not be there as shown above.

I knew this trick, but some cases, this also fails. I tried 3 times and still did not get the SMS. Now I should go to an internet cafe for print out..

No you can't change the mobile number after ticket is booked through IRCTC. Instead you can do one thing get the SMS forwarded to your own mobile number.
In addition to the above,
Also be sure to change the name to TD-IRCTC or something like xx-IRCTC so that the SMS would appear as real SMS sent from IRCTC server. Because if the SMS is forwarded to your mobile number from the agents mob number or your relative mob number then his/her name will appear which showing the sms to TTE, hence to avoid this you can temporarily change the contact name of the sender (the mobile number who actually forwarded the original IRCTC SMS to your mobile number).
