According to the rail budget 2013-14 announcement, Indian railways increased superfast charge which will make traveling in super fast train little costlier for the rail travelers. Increased superfast charge on rail tickets shall be applicable for the journeys made on or after April 01, 2013. Here are the details of the increase in the super-fast charges:
Revised Superfast Charges applicable from 01-04-2013
Superfast charge for second sitting and sleeper class will be Rs 15 and Rs 30 respectively. For First Class, AC Chair Car, AC Economy, AC 3-tier class and AC 2-Tier of travel revised superfast fee is Rs 45. However, for AC First and Executive class the super fast will be Rs 75. The charges are increased from Rs 5 to Rs 25. Refer the table given below for more clear view:
