According to the newly announced rail budget 2013, Indian railways increased taktal charges which will make tatkal ticket expensive for the rail passengers. These increased charges of tatkal fare shall be applicable for the journeys made on or after April 01, 2013. The hike in charges varies from Rs 0 to Rs 100 depending on travel classes. Here are the details of the increase in the tatkal charges:
Revised Tatkal Charges applicable from 01-04-2013
There is no increase in the tatkal charge for the second sitting class of travel. For sleeper minimum 75 to 90, sleeper maximum 150 to 175, AC Chair car minimum 75 to 100, AC Chair car maximum 150 to 200, AC 3 tier minimum 200 to 250, maximum 300 to 350. However, for AC 2-Tier and Executive class minimum 200 to 300 and maximum 300 to 400. Refer the table given below for more clear view:
