CTET Apply Online for Central Teacher Eligibility Test

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2013 examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is scheduled to be held in July 2013. Candidates who wish to appear in central teacher eligibility test are required to apply ONLINE from March 15, 2013 to April 16, 2013 through CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in

How to Apply Online for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)

Applicants who want to appear in the central teacher eligibility test (CTET) have to apply online at CBSE’s site http://www.cbse.nic.in or http://www.ctet.nic.in. Applicants must provide full details at time of applying online for CTET. After successful submission of data, candidates are required to take a print out of the computerized confirmation page with registration number.

Fee for Applying Central Teacher Eligibility Test

For General and OBC categories of candidates the application fees is Rs 500 for only one paper (I or II) and Rs 800 is for both papers (I and II). Whereas, for SC, ST and differently abled person the application fees is Rs 250 for only one paper (I or II) and Rs 400 for both papers (I and II).

Downloading Admit Card for Central Teacher Eligibility Test

The candidates who applied online for central teacher eligibility test (CTET) need to download their admit card from CBSE website after July 03, 2013. After downloading the admit card, candidate will have to go to the examination centre given in the admit card for examination.

What to do if incorrect Data is found in the CTET Admit Card

On downloading the admit card from CBSE site, if any incorrect/missing data (such as wrong candidate name, erroneous photo, missing signature, etc.) is seen then the candidate/application should consult CBSE immediately.

Important Dates/Points to Remember for CTET 2013 Exam

Following are the important dates and points to remembered for CTET 2013 examination

  • Online Submission of application: 15-03-2013 to 16-04-2013
  • Last date for Receipt of Confirmation Page: 22-04-2013
  • Check Application status and Candidate particulars on website: 15-06-2013
  • Application not received cases (contact CBSE): 16-06-2013 to 27-06-2013
  • Online Corrections in Particulars: 16-06-2013 to 27-06-2013
  • Download Admit Card from CBSE website: 03-07-2013
  • Date of Examination: 28-07-2013 (Paper-I 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, Paper-II 01:30 pm to 03:00 pm)
  • Centre of Examination: As indicated on the Admit Card
  • Declaration of Results: On or after 03-09-2013
  • Dispatch of CTET Marks Statement/Certificates: 30-09-2013 onwards
  • Materials to be brought on the day of examination: Admit Card and Blue/Black Ball Point Pen of good quality.
  • Rough Work: All rough work is to be done in the Test Booklet only. The candidate should NOT do any rough work or put stray mark on the Answer Sheet.
  • In case the application of the candidate is not shown as received on CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in by 15.06.2013, the candidate should approach the Assistant Secretary, CTET Unit, CBSE between 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. from 16-06-2013 to 27-06-2013 giving details of the Post Office, Date of Dispatch, Original Receipt of Postal Dispatch, Photostat Copy of the Confirmation Page and Candidate Copy of Challan if fees paid by Challan, one Photograph (as pasted on the Confirmation Page).
  • Qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for Recruitment/Employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.
