As per the newly announced rail budget 2013-14, Indian railways increased reservation charge which will make reserved ticket costlier for the rail passengers. Increased reservation charge on reserved tickets shall be applicable for the journeys made on or after April 01, 2013. Here are the details of the increase in the reservation charges for reserved tickets:
Revised Reservation Charges w.e.f. from 01-04-2013
There is no increase in the reservation charge for the second sitting and sleeper class of travel. For AC Chair Car, AC Economy and AC 3-tier class of travel increase in reservation fee is Rs 15. However, for First Class, AC 2-Tier, AC First and Executive class the hike in the reservation fee is Rs 25. Refer the table given below for more clear view:
